About
My Books
I began my writing journey as I explored education as a theme throughout the Scriptures and through Jewish and Christian history. This journey led me to a greater revelation of God as our Father and our Teacher—all that He has done in His love to redeem us, teach us, and to raise us as His beloved children. From this foundation, I began to focus my research and writing endeavors on parents, in the image of God, as teachers of their children.
Parents teaching children is a biblical mandate that has a profound impact on the education and faith development of a child. Education and child development research all point to the benefits of parental engagement, confirming God's intended design in the relationship of parents and children. Unfortunately, through the generations the role of parents has been downplayed through governments, educational systems, and the lack of example. But today God is restoring the hearts of parents to their children, and the children to their parents (Mal. 4:6). He is restoring the intuitive knowledge and wisdom of parents in the teaching of their children.
About Me
I am an author, educator, and president emeritus of an online Bible College and Seminary. I am a devoted husband, a parent and grandparent, and have served over 40 years in church and educational ministry. I have a master’s in education in curriculum design and work with pastors and educators to equip parents in their role as teachers of their children. I have a passion for what education can be, based on biblical-relational principles, and write books to that promote God’s purpose for family and education, encouraging parents in creating rich and healthy learning environments for their children and young adults.
Books authored include An Introduction to Education in Bible Times (2019), Our Father, Our Teacher: A Relational Journey (2022), The Parent-Teacher: Love and Leading in Learning - 1st edition (2023), Every Child Has a Story: Engaging in Your Child's Learning and Development (2024), Meditations for Parents: Finding Strength and Hope in the Stories of Scripture (2024), and The Parent-Teacher: Love and Leading in Learning - 2nd edition (2025). I am currently working on two projects: a book regarding God's design for marriage and a book on Kingdom Education.
